eTech Board
The eTech Board provides day-to-day budgetary management for the eTech initiative. The Board’s key functions include:
- Drafting of an annual operating plan and budget recommendation
- Quarterly budget and project reviews
- Approval of routine instructional technology expenses
The eTech Board is composed of the following campus representatives:
- Kian Colestock – Chief Information Officer
- Michael Dennin – Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning
- Shohreh Bozorgmehri – eTech Director, Office of Information Technology
- Campus Student Fee Coordinator
- ASUCI Academic Affairs Vice President Representative (student designee)
- Cory Smith – Executive Director of IT Finance, Vice Chancellor of Information Technology & Data
Future Innovation Advisory Group
eTech@UCI accepts innovative technology proposals from faculty and students via school IT directors and assistant deans, annual budget permitting. Guidance on adoption of these proposals is provided to the eTech Board by the Future Innovation Advisory Group. Members of this group serve as liaisons to other committees, councils, and groups within the portions of the academic community that they come from. The Future Innovation Advisory Group is composed of representatives from faculty and students plus key administrative staff. They have the following responsibilities:
- Assessment and prioritization of innovative technology proposals
- Guidance on strategic technology needs and priorities
Members of the Future Innovation Advisory Group are being currently being selected for the 2024 year.
